So my 2 cents on this chaos is as follows... The bottom line is (a) they shouldn't have played the game, and Bud Selig, how could you not see this coming? Half of Pennsylvania and Jersey had a rain cloud over it!; (b) since they did start the game, then you see the rain down coming down, why not cancel it after 2 or 3 innings to prevent it from coming an official game and to preserve the "ace" pitchers arms?; (c) now you are in the 5th, and the rain is an absolute down pour, why not stop it after 5? No, I dont want the Phils to win it on a rain suspension, but there is no way baseball can be played in this; (d) so they play the top of the sixth and Rollins drops the flyball because of the rain and wind, and Tampa then ties it with that batter scoring the run! Why not make Tampa play the last 1/2 inning of the sixth in the rain and wind? The Phillies had to, and it costed us a run. As usual, Selig drops the ball. Then to make it worse, Selig cancels Thursday's travel day (if 6 or 7 is needed) so that way, Hamels won't be available at full strength to pitch game 7. If game 7 was on Saturday, then Hamels would pitch on his usual 4 days rest. I think we are going to win tonight but if we don't...... I wouldn't want to be Bud Selig in South Philly. It would be the biggest travesty in recent sports memory.
