Omar Olivares former Phillie right hander 1995 2/2 Indexs
Plus, my buddy Matt in Philly texted me some good news out of the Phillies Autograph Phestival, held on Monday 6/21, which is an annual event to benefit ALS research. I'm not going to ruin the surprise but it involves a silver sharpie, an authentic jersey and a Phillies superstar. Scans to follow.
Since 1984, the Phillies have raised more than $11 million for The ALS Association, Greater Philadelphia Chapter's patient services and research. ALS, a progressive neuromuscular disease, is also known as "Lou Gehrig's Disease" after the Yankee first baseman. The Phillies set the record this year raising $867,000 through the Phestival! Thats a good amount of money to fight this terrible disease but anyone who ever met someone who has this, knows the utter cruelty of this illness. To donate to the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of ALS click HERE , like I did!
