SPECIAL "EAGLES TICKET" EDITION

WELL FOLKS BELIEVE IT OR NOT, FOOTBALL IS RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER AND THE SEASON HAS STARTED OFF WELL FOR THIS EAGLE FAN. I HAVE BEEN ON THE EAGLES SEASON TICKET WAITING LIST FOR ALMOST 10 YEARS OR SO NOW. AND I AM PLEASED TO REPORT I AM ACTUALLY MAKING SOME PROGRESS. I GOT A CALL FROM THE EAGLES ON TUESDAY. AS SOON AS THE NAME POPS UP ON THE CALLER I.D., I asked myself- "Does Andy need help on how to properly run a West Coast offense? Has Eagle fans sued the Eagles for emotional distress and Mr. Lurie needs a lawyer? Or do the Birds need me at camp and another 'inVINCEable' story has begun?" NO, but they offered me some tickets, even better b/c now I dont have get ready for training camp! But the bad news was the tickets were club box seats, that ran $5500 per seat for the season... oh and they need a 10 year contract (with a 5% yearly increase). Mrs. Phillygrapherttm put a kabosh on dedicating a minimum of $110K to the Eagles over the next 10 years, but I was able to do ok nontheless. I ended up with (2) tickets to both games - the Cockroaches (and if you dont who the Cockroaches are, you don't check this page enough)and the home opener against the Saints. Section C9 clubbox level, free passes to the pre-game party at the Hall of Fame Club (where Eagle alumni will be there signing) and free food and drink (NO, I AM NOT GOING TO DRINK BOOZE. I'LL LOAD UP ON DIET COKE!). The four tickets cost $1200 total, or $300 per seat per game. Not a bad price considering I think I picked the 2 best games of the season, although the Denver game with Dawkins returning to Philly was tempting. But the Broncos come in 2 days after Christmas and let's be real, how can you pass up the season opener and Dallas?? SEPTEMBER 20TH IS THE HOME OWNER, LESS THAN 3 MONTHS! I'm excited, anyone else?
