I also took advantage of a great opportunity to get a few former Phillies, who I don't think are signing TTM anymore. The following are purchases I made from my buddy, Rob. I love collecting really old stuff whenever I get a good price. Here we go...(1) Roger Freed - Phillies outfielder in the early 1970's, who enjoyed a mediocre 9 year MLB career. He passed away in 1996 at only 49 years old; (2) Clarence Pickup - A man who accomplished my dream. He was a Phillie for one game, one at bat, and got a hit! The year was 1918, and Mr. Pickup then hung up his cleats and went on to bigger and better things, I hope. He died in 1974, in Philly, at the age of 77; (3) Frank Nicholson - Former Pitcher, who made his MLB debut at the age of 23. He pitched in 4 innings over 2 games in 1912. Nicholson gave up a HR, got a K and never made it back to the bigs. He died in 1972 in Jersey Shore, PA at the age of 83.
HOW ABOUT THEM PHILLIES? NEVER UNDER ESTIMATE THE HEART OF A CHAMPION. BEAT LA!
